Terms of service

Wayfilm turns a route between places into a cinematic map film you can play, export, and share. Routes follow real roads from public map data, and distances and durations come from a routing engine. They are estimates for storytelling, not navigation. Do not use Wayfilm to plan driving in the way you would a turn-by-turn navigator.

You can draw routes and play films without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for the activity under it and for keeping your Google sign-in secure. Please do not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer it, and no using it to harass others or to break the law.

Accounts use Google sign-in and exist so you can save your film and pick it up later. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu; deletion removes your saved film and everything tied to your account. How we handle the data behind accounts is described in our Privacy Policy.

The films you export are yours to use. The underlying map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, and exported videos include attribution consistent with that license. Please keep it intact where the license requires it.

Some features are unlocked by Wayfilm Pro, available as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, handled by our payment processor. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you can cancel any time; access runs to the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may adjust what Pro includes over time, but we will not remove access you have already paid for without a fair alternative or refund. Founder pricing stays locked in for as long as you keep your plan.

Wayfilm is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that routes, maps, exports, or the service itself will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. Map data comes from third parties and may contain mistakes.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, WheyDev LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Wayfilm.

We may update, change, or discontinue Wayfilm, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these terms; when we do, we will change the date above, and material changes will be noted. Continuing to use Wayfilm after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
